The "Media in Conflicts Seminar" (MICS) is an academic and professional journalist seminar taking place in Israel. MICS exposes future media leaders to the fascinating world of conflict-journalism. During the seminar the participants will develop skills to deal with the challenges of media in conflicts, create a priceless professional network and experience the world's most covered conflict zone.
The 5-day seminar will include:

The conference will be held in English at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya (10 Minutes from Tel Aviv) during the week of September 4th-8th, 2011.

Application Process
After submitting your application, the MICS 2011 Staff will contact you within two weeks.The application process includes a few stages. The stages include an application form, a short essay and an online interview.
MICS 2011 is a subsidized seminar. The participants stay in Israel is fully funded including accommodation in Israel during the seminar, transportation and meals. However, participants are asked to pay for their own flight accommodations.
If accepted to MICS 2011, the participants are asked to send a copy of a purchased flight ticket to Israel within 2 weeks to the MICS 2011 staff in order to confirm the participation in the seminar.
